Welcome to the Hunter Community College website. The Hunter Community College brings many opportunities for you to learn new skills and develop new interests or build on the ones you already have.

Remember to enrol early to ensure your place in your course.

The Term 4 Program which start soon include - Christmas Cupcakes, Decorating with Chocolate, Digital Cameras, How to sell on Ebay, calligraphy Cards, Barista Skills, Basic Excel, Portraiture Photography, Basic Computing-The next step, Waxing, QuickBooks-Payroll and QuickBooks Advanced.

The Term 1 2010 Course Program is currently being prepared and the courses will be availabe for veiwing from mid December.

HUNTER MASTER COOKING COMPETITION - CORPORATE CHALLENGE.

Teams from NIB, Energy Australia, Hunter New England Health, Greater Building Society have entered the inaugural Hunter Master Cooking Competition. 2 teams for NIB won Heats 1 and 2 and more on to the semi final.

Heats 3 and 4 were won by a team from Energy Australia and the team from The Greater Building Society.

The semi finals will be held on 26 Nov and 3 Dec.

The Grand Final Cook-off will be on Thursday 10 December. To find out more about the inaugural Master Cooking Competition go to the 'HOW TO ENROL' SECTION.

FEDERAL GOVERNMENT FUNDS COLLEGE EXTENSIONS

On 5 August the Department of Employment, Education and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) announced that HCC was a successful applicant for the Teaching and Learning Capital Fund (TLCF) for Vocational Education and Training (VET): Investing in Community Education and Training (ICET) Funding.

This funding will allow the college to extend its administration building with the addition of an office for 2 staff, a training room, a store room and a covered deck area for students.

The extension will be constructed by Hunter based firm Custom Transportable Buildings. We anticipate to new section to be operational by April 2010.
